About Bodhiworx

What has been your experience in relation to clinical therapy, your GP, a private practice. What about the last time you booked yourself a therapeutic treatment? Massage therapy, spa day etc. Were you blown away by the treatment you received, did you spend more time in a waiting room than a consultation clinic? Did you ever wish these two services would meet in the middle? A practitioner with clinical training offering you a space to relax and enjoy a therapeutic experience where your appointment is on time and there is no need for a waiting room?

Bodhiworx was created with the vision of offering hands-on therapy, which uniquely aims to tackle your physical discomfort, using rare but profoundly effective manual therapy and movement techniques originating in India, Thailand and far eastern oriental lands. We believe that techniques emerging from these regions have a common origin, one that is still yet to be fully understood or explained in terms of conventional western medicine.

So, our intention is to offer a variety of services which combine western clinical knowledge with the beautiful mystery of ancient eastern healing arts. But this approach seems to reach so much more than just physical discomfort. The addition of Yoga not only offers a solution for people to keep in good physical condition and avoid the need for physical therapy of any kind, but these arts are underpinned by a wonderful philosophy helping us understand self, and work towards revealing the kind and content nature which we all have at our core.

We began in 2019 with Jon Winnett in the UK leaving behind a career as a local government civil engineer to begin learning how to help people recover from spinal injury and low points in mental health through the use of Thai Bodywork and Yoga. After 5 difficult years building a business in the UK, Jon's journey with Bodhiworx took on a significant shift. He met Ana Raquel, someone else who had done almost the exact same thing, but had taken the difficult choice to leave nursing to deliver what she knew to be a more effective solution to relieve peoples suffering through alternative therapy, specifically Acupuncture, traditional Chinese medicine and Yoga. These two people love and care for each other in the same way as they love and care about the work they do, and the people they help through doing it.

Bodhiworx is more than just therapy, it’s the way you feel after your session, it’s an enjoyable experience without exception. Read below for more about these two people that bring you Bodhiworx
